I find great joy in helping others find peace and healing in their lives. Sometimes getting help from a trained professional is the missing link for people who feel helpless in their circumstances without a foreseeable way out. Having someone on your side can be extremely instrumental in allowing you to reach the goals you have set for yourself, or in breaking through the roadblock that seems to be in your way. It would be my honor to come alongside you in your journey to seek and achieve the fulfilled life you desire.
Qualifications & Experience
I have been counseling since 2006. I obtained a Master’s in Social Work from Eastern State University, my LICSW from Frontier Behavioral Health, and my Chemical Dependency Certification from an inpatient facility for treatment of chemical dependency.
My Call to Christian Counseling
After experiencing deep grief and subsequent depression following the death of my husband at age 48, a wonderful therapist assisted me in the healing process and provided me with skills to manage depression. While working toward my MSW, I learned the importance of assisting others in finding peace and healing so that they would be able to discover and meet their goals.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
My husband and the father of our three children died of cancer at the age of 48. I experienced severe depression and grief after his death. Even though every individual’s grieving process is unique, I learned through receiving counseling and being in a caring atmosphere that a person can move through the stages of grief and be able to get on with their lives. I am now remarried, and I have six grandchildren. I like to travel and grow flowers and herbs.
