When you’re feeling down or experiencing a particular challenge, it can be difficult to pull yourself out of the darkness. One of the things I love most about being a Christian counselor is the opportunity to walk alongside others and share tools that will help them overcome the various struggles in their lives. Bringing my authentic self to our sessions allows trust and a sense of safety to develop. I seek to create a relaxed environment where laughter often finds its way into the room. I look forward to journeying with you toward a healthier, more meaningful life.
Qualifications & Experience
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work Associate, Mental Health Professional, and Child Mental Health Specialist with certificates in Palliative Care and Disability Studies. I have also been trained in EMDR by an EMDRIA-approved trainer. Both my undergraduate and graduate studies in Social Work were completed at Eastern Washington University. I have been counseling professionally and informally since 2011.
My Call to Christian Counseling
Ever since I was a young child, nurturing, advocating, and supportive listening have come naturally to me. As a helping profession, counseling fits my persona. Being able to provide support and unconditional love to others who have been labeled as unhealable, who have been rejected by family or society, and who have felt hopeless, helpless, unlovable, judged, or unworthy is what fills my soul.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
I have been married for 24 years. We have two daughters, three cats, and three dogs. Now that our daughters are young adults, our animals have become our very spoiled babies.
